Franchise Opportunities – Where you DON’T want to find your franchise mentioned!

A dark secret is held by one of the UKs MOST respected high street franchises.

We have already mentioned the deafening silence of criticism of franchise opportunities on the web. Most criticism is met with legal demands for removal – and most franchise sites earn for promoting franchises , so they do not criticise either.

But that does not mean there is nothing to be found on the web at all.

Sure – if it is a limited company and the company is big enough, then it cannot hide behind small company disclosure rules so that then you may find accounts at companies house. But don’t bank on it. It needs to be a big company for that.

You can also do a director check , and you should– or even a check for company county court judgements. But thing is – that only tells you the company is paying its bills.

But under freedom of information act, there is no automatic right to know the proceedings of courts in most cases, and not all are deemed worthy of merit to report in law journals. So in the UK at least –successful actions by franchisees , or actions by franchisors against them are not necessarily mentioned anywhere.

But there is one place you can check.

A place even the biggest of franchises cannot supress – And it is government collected information. And if you do check your franchise there you may well be in for a big surprise!
