Franchise associations are not what they seem from the outside!

The IFA of America was an organisation to allow industry self regulation to try to avoid government regulation, but in the US it failed. And formal regulation followed. Not so in the UK. There is no regulation at all.

So if you think they are regulators, or any kind of honest broker, then think again.
Look first at who they are owned by – and discover their real role.

So do not rely on help as a franchisee.
